“RUTS Faculty of Industrial Education Signs MOU with Satun Community College to Enhance Educational Quality and Create Learning Opportunities in the Area”

On December 3, 2024, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), represented by Assoc. Prof. Chaiya Thanapatsiri, the Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Wannadee Suthapanit, the Director of Satun Community College, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in enhancing educational quality. The event also included a seminar on “Extracting Lessons for Excellence in Educational Quality Management (EdPEx).”

The purpose of the MOU between the two institutions is to foster opportunities for learning and the development of professional skills for the local population. This includes organizing activities that support knowledge and skill development in various fields, both locally and internationally. Additionally, it focuses on educational development and EdPEx, a tool for assessing and improving educational quality at institutional levels, as well as organizational development and the strengthening of the education system.

During the event, a panel discussion on lessons learned in educational quality management for excellence was held. The discussion featured Assoc. Prof. Chaiya Thanapatsiri, Assoc. Prof. Chakkraphong Jitjamnong, Vice Dean for Administration and Planning, Mr. Anukool Nanthaput, Head of the Dean’s Office, Dr. Wannadee Suthapanit, and Mr. Atsayuth Thesaasen. They shared experiences on using the EdPEx tool to assess and improve the educational quality of their organizations. Participants in the seminar gained insights into how to enhance educational quality to meet international standards, as well as strategies for building cooperation between educational institutions and communities to maximize benefits for learners and society.

Thus, this MOU signing marks an important step in building a sustainable and high-quality collaboration between the two institutions, which will help create continuous learning and career development opportunities for students and the local community in the future.
