His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great
affixed his royal signature to the Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya
Act on January 8, 2005, and it was published in the Royal Gazette on Tuesday, January 18, 2005. This act established nine Rajamangala Universities of Technology as institutions
of higher education specializing in professional and technological disciplines. Their mission includes providing education, promoting academic and professional excellence with an emphasis on practical skills, conducting teaching and research, producing professional teachers, offering academic services in science and technology to society, preserving art and culture,
and conserving the environment.


The Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology was established
as a unit under Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya,
in accordance with the establishment announcement by the University Council of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya
on August 27, 2009.

In the fiscal year 2015, a budget of 237 million baht was allocated for the construction of a new educational and operational building.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on February 15, 2016, at 3:19 PM, presided over by Professor Emeritus Peerasak Chantrapip, the former Chairman of the Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya Council.

Phra Thepsuthamyan, the Advisor to the Supreme Patriarch of Region 18 and the Abbot of Chaimongkol Royal Monastery,
presided over the religious ceremony. The construction was completed in the fiscal year 2019.
