On August 19, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, led by Assistant Professor Methas Theppaitoon, Assistant Dean, participated in presenting the outcomes of the Culture Smart City: Songkhla Old Town project. The event focused on Sub-Activity 1.2: Workshop and Discussion on Model Area Development, Activity 2. The ceremony was presided over by Assistant Professor Udorn Namsen, Deputy Rector of RMUTS, at the Red Mill Hub Ho Hin, Nakhon Nok Road, Mueang District, Songkhla Province.
This activity represents a collaboration among Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla Municipality, Songkhla City Lovers Network, and the Old Town Community. The event included the presentation of project outcomes, performance indicators, and delivery of results from participating stakeholders as follows:
- Mr. Wanchai Prinya-siri, Mayor of Songkhla Municipality, received outputs from Activity 4 (Mermaid/Clock Tower) and Activity 6 (Sculpture Installation Points).
- Mr. Nopadon To-pradu, Policy and Planning Analyst (Acting), Tourism and Sports Office, Songkhla Province, received outputs from Activity 2 (Manual) and Activity 8 (Signage).
- Ms. Charuwan Chanma, Director of Community Development Promotion Group, received outputs from Activity 5 (Installation Model).
- Ms. Aranee Supkan, Chairperson of Songkhla Old Town Community, received outputs from Activity 4 (City Gate/Clock Tower) and Activity 9 (Poster “Hroi Sai”).
