On July 19, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology (FIET), RUTS, in collaboration with the Creative Media Center for Children, Youth, and Families (Yok Kamlang Suk Club), the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), and the CVM Network (Center for Vocational Education Network Management and Workforce Development, IT Technology), organized the workshop “Kid Dee Idol: Citizen Health Communicator Program.”
Assistant Professor Chaiya Thanaphat Siri, Dean of FIET, gave the opening remarks, welcoming students and youth participants and encouraging them to develop their potential as “Citizen Health Communicators” at the Chuphan Meeting Room, FIET, RUTS.
The first day of the workshop was themed “Young Change Maker: Igniting the Health Communicator Spirit.” Activities began with team-building exercises, including “Pook Gler” and ice-breaking sessions led by alumni from previous Kid Dee Idol cohorts.
In the morning, Mr. Haris Maschai, Director of the Creative Media Center for Children, Youth, and Families, delivered a lecture titled “Change Agent: Leadership for Transformation” and provided an orientation for the network of Kid Dee Idol health communicators, setting goals and collaborative action plans.
The afternoon featured a Social Sandbox with group learning stations, including:
- MIDL Station: Digital media, information, and AI literacy
- Communication & Collaboration Station
- Leadership for Change Station
- Awareness & Reflection Station
This was followed by Media Movement activities to analyze the role and power of media in driving change toward a healthy society.
In the evening, a special event “Nad Nai Suan: Kid Dee Show – Action in Practice” showcased the creativity and skills of the youth participants. Senior Kid Dee Idol alumni shared experiences and inspiration, aiming to enhance the competencies of young health communicators to use media creatively, drive positive change in communities, and make a sustainable social impact.
