RUTS Faculty of Industrial Education Conducts Network Technician Training to Support Coastal Tourism Economy

On May 17, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) organized a hands-on training workshop titled “Network System Technician for Coastal Business and Tourism” at Betong Vocational College, Yala Province. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Thanarat Jularat, Director of Betong Vocational College.

The training was held from May 17–18, 2025, as part of the larger initiative “From Crisis to Adaptation: Advancing High-Quality Coastal Tourism in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Region through Modern Management Learning Ecosystems, Technology, and Innovation.” This initiative includes Activity 8: Workforce Development in Tourism, specifically Sub-Activity 1: Human Capital Development for Next-Generation High-Potential Marine Tourism Entrepreneurs, implemented by the Songkhla Regional Training Center.

The workshop covered both theoretical and practical topics related to network systems, including:

  • Basics of network design and security
  • The OSI and TCP/IP Models
  • Networking devices and transmission media
  • Understanding IP Addressing
  • Hands-on configuration of routers and VLAN setup

Participants were guided by expert instructors, Mr. Witoon Kongphon and Mr. Krawee Anontree, from the Telecommunication and Networking Systems Program (Continuing Program). The training aimed to equip participants with essential technical skills to support career development and contribute to the sustainable growth of the coastal tourism economy.
