On May 1, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology (FIET), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), held the opening ceremony for the RUTS and UTP International Collaboration Camp 2025 under the theme “Digital AI and Robotic Camp.” The camp is being held from April 30 to May 4, 2025, at the FIET campus.
Asst. Prof. Chaiya Thanaphatsiri, Dean of FIET, outlined the camp’s objectives as a strategic collaboration between RUTS and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. The initiative aims to enhance student capabilities in digital technology, artificial intelligence, and robotics, while also fostering international academic cooperation and cross-cultural exchange.
The opening ceremony was honored by Dr. Lamul Kayurin, Assistant to the President of RUTS, who served as co-chair. Her presence emphasized the significance of this international academic partnership.
Throughout the camp, students engage in a variety of academic activities, including hands-on workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and joint innovation projects focused on AI and robotics. This collaboration is expected to lay a strong foundation for future technological innovation and educational exchange between Thailand and Malaysia.
