Faculty of Industrial Education, RUTS Joins Royal Tribute Ceremony in Honor of King Nangklao Day 2025

On March 31, 2025, Assistant Professor Chaiya Thanaphatsiri, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, together with Mr. Anukoon Nonthaphut, Head of the Dean’s Office, participated in a floral tribute ceremony to commemorate King Nangklao Day (King Rama III Memorial Day) 2025. The ceremony was held to pay homage and express gratitude for the benevolence of King Nangklao, with Mr. Chotinarin Koedsom, Governor of Songkhla Province, presiding over the event. The ceremony was attended by administrators, heads of government agencies, and representatives from various sectors at the Chupan Conference Room, Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS).

During the ceremony, Governor Chotinarin delivered a royal tribute speech in front of the royal portrait of King Nangklao, summarizing His Majesty’s significant contributions to Thailand, including his efforts in economic development, trade, and tax reforms. Notably, he was the first monarch to grant regular salaries to government officials. He also oversaw the restoration of more than 30 temples and supported the promotion of education by commissioning the inscription of traditional knowledge at Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm (Wat Pho), later recognized as Thailand’s first university.

The royal tribute ceremony served as a gesture of loyalty and a heartfelt remembrance of King Nangklao’s enduring legacy and contributions to the nation and its people.
