Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, RUTS Signs MOU to Build a Collaborative Network for Vocational Teacher and Technologist Development

On March 28, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), hosted a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony under the project “Forum and Networking for the Development of Vocational Teachers and Technologists.” The purpose of the event, as outlined by Assistant Professor Chaiya Thanaphatsiri, Dean of the Faculty, was to establish a collaborative network among educational institutions and industry partners to enhance learning opportunities for students pursuing careers in vocational education and technology.

The opening ceremony and MOU signing were presided over by Assistant Professor Udon Namsen, Vice President of RUTS. The event was attended by educational administrators, company managers, business representatives, students, and distinguished guests, and held at the Chupan Conference Room, Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology.

The main goal of this initiative is to foster partnerships with external agencies to support student learning in vocational education and technology fields, while also promoting academic services, research, and entrepreneurship.

Five companies participated in the on-site MOU signing:

  • Pak Tai Solar Cell Co., Ltd.
  • ERT Center (Hat Yai) Co., Ltd.
  • Interlink Communication Public Co., Ltd.
  • Wire & Wireless Co., Ltd.
  • Somchai Supply and Service Co., Ltd.

Additionally, online MOU signings were conducted via Zoom with eight institutions under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, including:

  • Phuket Technical College
  • Nakhon Si Thammarat Marine Commercial College
  • Minburi Technical College
  • Chaiya Industrial and Community Education College
  • Saiburi Industrial and Community Education College
  • Saraburi Technical College
  • Thung Song Technical College
  • Betong Industrial and Community Education College

Five more companies also joined via online MOU:

  • Thai Solar 2014 Co., Ltd.
  • Unithai Southern Co., Ltd.
  • Loxsolar International
  • NSS Engineering Co., Ltd.
  • Auto Didactic Co., Ltd.

The event concluded with a panel discussion titled “Fostering Collaboration Between Educational Institutions, Industry, and Government in Talent Mobility Development”. This session underscored the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry to jointly develop a highly skilled future workforce.
