On March 15, 2025 The Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) has launched a hands-on training program on event management, focusing on lighting, sound, and visual production. The initiative is part of the project “From Crisis to Adaptation: Developing a High-Quality Marine Tourism Ecosystem in the Gulf of Thailand – Andaman through Modern Management, Technology, and Innovation.” The training is organized under Activity 8: Workforce Development in Tourism, with a sub-activity aimed at enhancing human capital for high-potential marine tourism entrepreneurs. The event is being held at the Songkhla Training Center as a short-term workforce development course.
The training, taking place from March 15-16, 2025, was inaugurated by Associate Professor Dr. Tanat Nontaphut, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Research. The sessions are being conducted at the Motion Picture Studio, Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, RMUTSV.
The program features industry experts including Pitiphong Kerdtip, a lecturer in Mass Communication Technology, and Thanakorn Sittisan, an audiovisual academic. Participants will gain knowledge in key topics such as event management, lighting and sound entrepreneurship, and the use of professional-grade audiovisual equipment. The training covers sound system operations, design, and installation, along with practical workshops on designing and setting up lighting and sound systems for various event types. Additionally, participants will learn equipment management and maintenance techniques, ensuring their ability to apply these skills effectively in the event and marine tourism industries.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to develop a new generation of high-potential marine tourism entrepreneurs, ultimately elevating Thailand’s marine tourism industry toward sustainable growth.
