On March 5, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) organized the 12th session of its professional competency development program for first-year students. The event, titled “Enhancing Professional Teaching Competencies,” featured industry experts and was presided over by Assistant Professor Ruthai Prathumthong, Head of the Professional Experience Training Unit. The program welcomed faculty members and students from the Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, and Electrical Engineering programs and was held at the university’s multipurpose building.
The event featured a keynote lecture by Ms. La-Orsri Chaiyaphong, a highly experienced educator holding the position of Senior Professional Teacher at Songkhla Technical College. Her lecture, titled “Roles and Responsibilities in Curriculum Management,” aimed to deepen students’ understanding of curriculum development and its alignment with educational institution needs and labor market demands. She shared invaluable knowledge and experiences to help students effectively apply these insights in their future careers.
This initiative was designed to equip first-year students with essential professional skills and competencies required for their future teaching careers. By integrating the knowledge gained from the program into their studies and future workplaces, students can enhance their professional development.
