Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, RUTS, Joins the ‘Phet Srivijaya’ Awards Ceremony Honoring Outstanding Researchers for 2024

January 22, 2024 The Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, led by Asst. Prof. Chaiya Thanaphatsiri, Dean of the Faculty, participated in the “Phet Srivijaya” Research Excellence Awards Ceremony for 2024. The event, organized by the Research and Development Institute of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), took place at the Srivisawa Conference Hall, Faculty of Engineering, RUTS. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Piamsak Menaset, President of the University Council, with an opening address, while RUTS President, Professor Dr. Suwat Thanyaros, presented a report to attendees, including researchers from 12 faculties and three colleges.

Under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Prapasri Srichai, Director of the Research and Development Institute, the “Phet Srivijaya” Awards aim to recognize outstanding research achievements in five categories: research grant acquisition, publication excellence, outstanding young researcher, invention and innovation, and outstanding research management. Additionally, the event honored the “Role Model of the Year 2024” awardees, recognizing individuals outside the university who have significantly contributed to RUTS’s research and innovation development.

The event also featured exhibitions showcasing groundbreaking research and innovations, including projects under the Plant Genetic Conservation Project (RSPG) and RUTS Product Champions initiative. These exhibits highlighted the university’s academic advancements and sustainable contributions to national development. This event reaffirmed RUTS’s commitment to being a leading hub for research and innovation that benefits society and the country.
