On January 16, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya held the 12th Teacher’s Day event under the theme “Education for Sustainable Development.” The event was honored by Professor Dr. Suwatch Thanarot, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, who presided over the opening ceremony and presented awards to faculty members and staff for their contributions to education. The event took place at the Thaprada Meeting Room at The Bed Vacation Hotel in Songkhla Province.
Assistant Professor Chaiya Thanapatsiri, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, stated that the 12th Teacher’s Day event aimed to emphasize the importance of teachers in the sustainable development of society, as well as to honor and motivate faculty members. It also provided an opportunity for students and staff to express gratitude to their teachers, foster knowledge exchange and experiences, and promote the development of quality teaching, research, and ethics in the teaching profession.
Additionally, faculty members were recognized during the event, including:
- Mr. Supasai Suksong, Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering program
- Mr. Theerath Duangjino, Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering program
Awards were also presented during the 12th Teacher’s Day event, including:
- Assistant Professor Sompong Kaewwang, recipient of the “Guru Pawanani” award for exemplary teaching in 2025.
- Assistant Professor Kritsada Khongpoon, recipient of the “Guru Kittikhun” award for being a beloved and respected teacher in 2025.
- Ms. Phadee Pongjin, recipient of the “Guru Kittikhun” award for “Friendly and Supportive Mentor” for outstanding friendship and support in 2025.
This Teacher’s Day event reflects the university’s commitment to sustainable educational development while honoring and motivating faculty members, creating opportunities for students and staff to express their gratitude to their teachers, and fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences that lead to the enhancement of teaching and research quality.
