RUTS Council President Visits “Nad Nai Suan” Market and Supports Creative Student Activities

On December 18, 2024, Prof. Emeritus Dr. Piamsak Mena-Sewat, the President of the University Council of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), visited the “Nad Nai Suan” market organized by the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology. The market aims to promote entrepreneurial learning for students and was held at the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at RUTS.

The market’s main objective is to develop high-performance entrepreneurial skills in students by providing them with the opportunity to earn income while studying, which helps alleviate family expenses. Additionally, it offers practical experience in managing small businesses.

During his visit, the University Council President engaged in close conversations with vendors and also visited the creative activity “Unlock Sadness, Feel It but Don’t Be Sad,” organized by the Student Club of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology. This activity focused on raising awareness about mental health through various engaging activities. The event also featured booths from the Faculty of Architecture’s Student Club, various other student clubs, and exhibitions such as “IED Peer Counselor,” which presented the role of peer counselors, and the “Deep Talk” exhibition, a space for open conversations. Other booths emphasized building good social relationships and promoting life skills and mental health awareness among the youth.

The event highlighted the university’s support for practical student learning and demonstrated the importance of activities that foster both life skills and mental health, providing a strong foundation for future success.
