Opening Ceremony of “Seamila Sandwalk” to Promote Marine Tourism and a Discussion on Elevating Songkhla’s Tourism to International Standards

On October 26, 2024, Assistant Professor Chaiya Thanaphatsiri, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, along with executives, office heads, and staff from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), participated in the opening ceremony of “Seamila Sandwalk”, an event aimed at promoting marine tourism. They also took part in a discussion on developing Songkhla’s tourism industry to meet international standards.

The event was presided over by Assistant Professor Udorn Namesen, Vice President of RMUTSV, Songkhla Campus. Other key participants included Lecturer Alawi Hasani, project coordinator; Mr. Somkiat Amnuaysuwan, Deputy Manager of the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), Songkhla Lake Basin; Mr. Saddam Satae, project coordinator for WWF-Thailand; Dr. Sayun Thongsri, an independent researcher specializing in marine and coastal environmental studies in Songkhla; along with local government officials, residents, and tourists.
