RUTS Executives and Staff Participate in Tree Planting to Open New Relaxation Area in Front of the University

On October 4, 2024, at 8:30 AM, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), led by Professor Dr. Suwat Tanyaros, President of RUTS, along with Associate Professor Udon Namsen, Vice President, Associate Professor Chaiya Thanapatsiri, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Associate Professor Sitthichoke Ounkaew, Director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, and Associate Professor Dr. Piyaporn Oramut, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, along with the management team and the working group of the project “From Crisis to Adaptation: Developing High-Quality Marine Tourism in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea through Modern Learning Ecosystems, Technology, and Innovation,” participated in a tree planting ceremony to officially open a new relaxation area in front of the university at the Mouse-Cat Sculpture Square.

The development of this landscape for relaxation purposes is part of the second activity of the project, “Developing Environmentally Friendly and Sustainable Landscape Architecture.” Specifically, this involves sub-activity 1, which focuses on the prototype landscape design for promoting marine tourism areas in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. The Faculty of Architecture at RMUTSV is leading the project, integrating teaching and learning in the architectural detailing course, where fourth-year students in the architecture program contributed to the design and construction of the space.
