On August 29, 2024, at Ban Baroi Border Patrol Police School, Padang Besar Subdistrict, Sadao District, Songkhla Province, Associate Professor Dr. Thanas Nontaput, Deputy Dean for Academic and Research Affairs, presided over the opening of the Life Skills Development and Educational Quality Standards Project for Teachers and Students of Border Patrol Police Schools (IED.Volunteer Spirit). The project is being held from August 29-30, 2024.
This initiative recognizes the importance of promoting and developing education for both teachers and students by enhancing their knowledge, skills, and essential attributes. Activities include sessions aimed at improving the teaching process to foster innovative and integrated learning. The key training topic, “The Role of Teachers in Designing Learning Processes,” was led by Assistant Professor Chareefa Hadyee, Assistant Dean, with support from Lecturer Piriya Sroikaew. The workshop had 40 participants who learned about setting objectives, essential content for lesson plans, and analyzing objectives, media, and related environments.
The participants were divided into two groups for practical activities. These activities covered the design of learning activities, planning to align with objectives, and designing interactions within each activity. Additionally, the groups focused on preparing teaching aids, media, equipment, and other learning resources, along with designing assessment tools, managing learning processes, recording the results of lesson plans, and refining them.
Another key topic was “Creating Media for Learning Management and the Dream Weaving Activity,” which focused on crafting learning media and artistic activities to enhance children’s learning experiences. This session emphasized techniques for creating engaging and effective learning materials using drawing as a tool to communicate and inspire children. Participants had the opportunity to practice and create learning media that can be effectively used in classrooms.
Overall, the training aimed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for efficient and systematic learning management, enabling participants to apply what they learned to improve teaching and learning in their respective educational institutions effectively.
