On August 29, 2024, at the Ratchawadee Room, 2nd Floor, Grand Ballroom Building, Buri Sriphu Hotel, Professor Suwatch Thanyarot, Rector of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), reported on the organization of the retreat. Professor Dr. Eksit Limsuwan, Vice President of RMUTS, expressed gratitude to the university for organizing the event to gather input from the university council members, administrators, and faculty representatives in planning organizational changes to adapt to the evolving global landscape. The retreat was held from August 29 to 30, 2024.
Attending the meeting were university council members and RUTS executives, including Assistant Professor Chaiya Thanapathsiri, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, and Assistant Professor Dr. Chakpong Jitjamnong, Deputy Dean for Administration and Planning. They participated in reviewing reports on the university’s performance and revisiting the core missions in three areas: education management, research, and budgeting. The discussions included exchanging ideas on driving the university forward.
This meeting demonstrated the university’s commitment to sustainable development and growth, focusing on improvements in education, research, and efficient budget management. The retreat aimed to plan strategies and development plans to align with societal and economic changes.
