August 24, 2024 – The Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya organized a training course on smart switch installation for the tourism industry at Room 71603, Mechatronics Engineering program. The event was inaugurated by Assistant Professor Dr. Jakrapong Jitjamnong, Deputy Dean for Administration and Planning.
The training garnered interest from students of Electrical Power and Industrial Electronics from Songkhla Technical College, who attended to enhance their skills and knowledge in modern technology, which will benefit their future careers. The training, held from August 24-25, 2024, is part of the project “From Crisis to Adaptation: Developing High-Quality Marine Tourism in the Gulf of Thailand – Andaman through Modern Learning Ecosystem, Technology, and Innovation Development,” specifically Activity 7, which focuses on responsible digital marketing development with business partners to drive sustainable marine tourism, and Sub-Activity 3, which aims to develop high-potential new marine tourism entrepreneurs – Songkhla Area Training Center: Developing Workforce (Short-Term Course).
The training covered several key topics, including the criteria for obtaining a certification of competence in building electrical work, wiring for lighting and power circuits within buildings, installing consumer units, and managing and controlling smart switches within buildings using WiFi and Zigbee communication systems. Participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice in simulated real-world scenarios, which enhanced their confidence and technical expertise.
Expert lecturers, Mr. Thanat Thanoasawaphon, Head of the Mechatronics Engineering program, and Assistant Professor Ruthai Patumthong, a faculty member of the Mechatronics Engineering program, provided in-depth and practical insights, offering valuable advice and addressing participants’ queries.
This training not only strengthened the technical skills necessary in today’s era but also supported the development of high-quality human resources to meet the future demands of Thailand’s tourism industry sustainably, while bolstering the business partnership network across various sectors.
