The Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at RUTS attended a monitoring visit for the University Mentor Project.

On August 1, 2024, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) participated in a monitoring visit for the “Educational Quality and Local Development Enhancement Project,” supported by the University Mentor Program for the fiscal year 2024. Assistant Professor Chaiya Thanapatsiri, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, along with Assistant Professor Chareefa Hadyi, the Assistant Dean, attended the meeting to report on the progress of the project at Conference Room 2, Office of the President, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus.

Following the meeting, the faculty visited Thachin Udom Wittaya School in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, where they welcomed the Director of the AVS1 Development and Mobilization Group, representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, representatives from the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), and the inspection team from the Southern Higher Education Development Network. Thachin Udom Wittaya School is a long-time participant in the project, with RMUTSV serving as the mentor.

The project focuses on enhancing the potential of teachers’ learning management processes to foster innovative, integrated learning approaches. The aim is to develop teachers’ knowledge, skills, and abilities to empower students academically, professionally, and in life skills. This initiative is expected to lead to income generation, career development, and the overall improvement of community quality of life. Additionally, the project emphasizes the incorporation of ethics and moral values into education, with activities such as the production and use of IT resources for teaching, designing contemporary learning approaches, developing local or competency-based curricula, advancing educational digital technologies, creating assessment tools, and fostering creative innovations.
