On July 20, 2024, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya held a hands-on training program titled “From Barista Standards to Professionals.” The event was inaugurated by Assistant Professor Dr. Jakkapong Jitjamnong, Deputy Dean for Administration and Planning, at Room 57101, the Hotel Operations Building, within the Hotel and Service Management program.
The program, held from July 20 to 21, 2024, included practical workshops aimed at enhancing participants’ knowledge in using equipment, operating espresso machines at speed bars, frothing milk, latte art, preparing both hot and cold coffee menus, creating mixed beverages, and designing menus with local ingredients. The training was conducted by Assistant Professor Rawiwan Puangson, Head of the Hotel and Service Management program, and Mr. Wittaya Bunmeechai, a barista trainer from WorldWide Coffee.
This training was organized to develop participants’ skills in beverage menu design and development, adding value to the beverage and coffee businesses. It also aimed to improve tourism standards along the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman coasts, promoting high-quality and internationally recognized marine tourism.
