On June 29, 2024, the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, organized a project to train and develop innovative methods for producing duck-neck snacks to enhance vocational skills for the community. This activity plans to design the learning process and create learning opportunities for participants, supported by the Educational Opportunity Promotion Fund (EOPF) under the Community-Based Learning Opportunities project for AD 2023. Asst. Prof. Kritsada Kongpoon was the project leader at Wat Changlon, Kuhatai Subdistrict, Rattaphum District, Songkhla Province.
The project above aims to promote, support, and develop vocational skills for economically disadvantaged individuals and those with fewer opportunities. Its goal is to equip them with the knowledge and abilities to pursue livelihoods independently, thus enhancing their capacity for self-sustainability. Additionally, the project focuses on developing production methods and elevating the recognition of the community’s duck-neck snack products.
Within the activity, practical training sessions were conducted on logo and packaging design, as well as online marketing in a local style. Additionally, hands-on training was provided to enhance learning opportunities for participants in making duck-neck snacks, baking, floral arrangements, and men’s hairstyling. These skills enable participants to apply them in their businesses or as a secondary profession. Furthermore, they contribute to increasing the value of community products and can be used to expand businesses or careers. Overall, these efforts help develop a stronger and better quality of life within the community.
